This is a picture of a moth which is classified as an insect. A moth is considered an Arthropod because it is an insect, insects, arachnids, myriapods, trilobites and crustaceans are all considered arthropods. Arthropods consist of an exoskeleton, a segmented body, and jointed appendages. All arthropods are the descendants of a single common ancestor, modern Arthropods consist of insects, spiders, centipedes, shrimp, and crayfish.
