Photo Blog #6 (adaptation of a plant)

FullSizeRender (1).jpg

This is a picture of the branch of a pine tree, this is a great example of the adaptation of a plant because it shows how it has changed to fit the climate it lives in. The pine tree is an evergreen tree that grew thick bark to protect it from harsh weather, the leaves are small and needle shaped, much denser than the leaf of a deciduous tree. The flexible branches can hold the weight of heavy snowfall and heavy wind. The pine cones protect the seeds from weather, and the leaves can photosynthesize year round because it is an evergreen tree. This tree can survive anything which is why it is so common even in the mountains. It is the perfect adaptation for an organism.
